Hokitika

Though we visited Hokitika in light rain, the town had a much more vibrant feel than Greymouth. Tourism is the main business these days and we saw a few interesting travellers as well as some charismatic locals.

for  a moment we thought time had stood still in Hokitika as these two gems pulled up right in front of us

and then, in complete contrast as I round the corner, I encounter none other than the Kiev Chapter of the Ukranian Harley Club on a tour of the South Island. Of course, who else would you expect?  I also met the owner of the bikes who lives in NZ but organises these tours all over the world including Australia and Africa.  These are Auckland Harleys.
