Heading to the West Coast

We had more excellent weather for our drive from Hanmer Springs over the Lewis Pass, through Reefton and the Buller Gorge to Westport and here’s some points of interest along the way …

237b (683x1024) Artwork on Conical Hill reservoir at Hanmer –

what does the rabbit mean?

030b (1024x683)On the road to Lewis Pass – does this mean ‘little’ or is it a pit stop? 071b (1024x683)An Inter Island Fairy door in the base of a tree in Reefton (Aniela this one’s for you)

Main Street Reefton
- not much goin’ on

But did you
know this then?

they still light
the street

Reefton Court House …
we think they let the crims choose the colour scheme

Yes folks, more than 5 141di (683x1024) (2)minutes in Reefton could drive a woman crazy enough to buy a bargain rock chick leather jacket at the Op Shop

very interesting rock formations everywhere – is this granite, marble or none of the above?
